The Hekla center has now opened. The exhibition and restaurant is open daily from 10-22. Leirubakki is very near the Hekla and the museum fits itself into the surroundings in a very special way, with special consideration of the environment. There is also be a eating-/conference room, a museumshop and a viewpoint with a magnificient view over Hekla.
